Sweet Korean Beef Bowls

2. Ingredients
- 500 g Ground beef, 85% lean
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Fresh ginger, grated
- 60 ml Low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
- 1 tsp Gochujang
- ½ tsp Black pepper
- 600 g Cooked white rice
- 1 English cucumber, thinly sliced
- 3 Green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
3. Instructions
7 StepsIn a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, gochujang and black pepper. Set aside.
Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook for 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned and no longer pink.
Add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant.
Pour the prepared sauce over the browned beef. Stir well and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the beef.
Remove the skillet from the heat and let the beef rest for 1–2 minutes while you prepare the bowls.
Divide the warm cooked rice between four bowls. Spoon the sweet Korean beef over the rice.
Add sliced cucumber and green onion around the beef. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
